an African American engineer who graduated from Tuskegee University,
invented the Super Soaker high-powered water toy.

phones because of the cellular infrastructure developed by Jesse
Russell, an engineer at Bell Laboratories who graduated from
Tennessee State University.

awarded the 2006 Black Engineer of the Year Award. She serves as
